The Team

Tanya is deeply passionate about creating community. She has advocated for youth empowerment as a fundraising professional since 1998. She is a dynamic, collaborative change-maker with more than 20 years of national and global experience in communications, marketing and philanthropy. She has worked extensively in the sports and entertainment industry, initially with MLSE’s Toronto Raptors Foundation, then advancing to Canada Basketball. Tanya was the business development lead for an award-winning event hospitality company, managing premier accounts such as TIFF, NBA All-Star and World Pride. In 2016, she launched her own consulting firm delivering strategic partnerships and event management to charities.

Tanya is an avid volunteer, serving on two boards dedicated to building community: PR & Media Relations Director of Jamaal Magloire Foundation and Secretary of Luna|Luna Vista Condominiums. In 2020 she spearheaded Canada’s DEI & Anti-Racism committee at Right To Play, a global charitable organization where she also oversees Events and Sponsorship in Canada.

A first generation Canadian, Tanya’s family instilled the importance of caring for one another, living by the ‘golden rule.’ She believes in the power of building strong relationships to collectively create an equitable society for youth to thrive.
