The Team

Trona moved to Toronto to pursue an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering. Serving in various executive positions at Ryerson University’s Student Council, the National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE) and the International Students’ Services sparked her passion for youth development.

Trona volunteers as Account Coordinator with Jamaal Magloire Foundation and the Toronto Revellers Cultural Association, both of which provide opportunities for underserved youth via sports and the arts. She is also a co-founder and Director and Secretary-General for Saint Lucian Young Leaders in Canada (SYLC), a passion project and non-profit aimed at establishing much-needed resources for the young Saint Lucian diaspora in Canada.

She believes that a country’s wealth is the realized potential of youth, and with other like-minded individuals, she hopes to foster the sustainable development of youth for a brilliant, affluent global society. She’s starting with the ones closest to her heart: the youth of Saint Lucia and the GT
